SOS Free Low Fat Apple Crumble

Posted by c.king on October 13, 2015 at 8:40 PM

This apple crumble can be cooked or just eat it raw. If you choose to eat it raw, the apple is best to be chopped more finely than if you were cooking it.

4-5 apples, chopped
1/2 cup raisins
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons date paste
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Crumble Topping
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
1/2 cup apple sauce
1/4 cup date paste
1/2 cup ground oats (just put whole rolled oats into a blender and process until a coarse flour)
1 cup whole rolled oats
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon allspice

If cooking, preheat oven to 200 degrees C.

Combine apples with raisins, lemon juice, dates paste and vanilla, and spread across the bottom of a baking dish.

Combine all ingredients for crumble topping in a bowl and spread the mixtures gently over the apple mixture.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or enjoy raw.
